    Who we make for

Which US brands do we manufacture abayas for?

Three kinds of US buyer come to us. New online brands launching their first collection. Boutiques that have been reselling other labels and want their own name on the rail. And established modest-wear brands adding an abaya capsule without committing to a factory-sized run.

Most US brands that enquire with us start with three to five designs at 8–12 pieces each — a first collection of roughly 24 to 60 pieces. That is the order size our minimum of 8 pieces per design was built for: enough to launch properly, small enough to test which designs your customers actually buy before you reorder.

    Price points

What do US abaya brands sell at, and what should production cost?

Across the US enquiries we receive, the retail prices brands plan to sell at run from about $40 to $250 a piece, with most falling between $75 and $150. Brands at the top of that range are almost always asking for velvet, lace, embroidery or beading; brands at the lower end want clean everyday cuts in nida, crêpe or linen.

A practical starting point is to plan production at around half of your retail price, leaving the other half for shipping, duty, marketing and margin. We quote every design individually, because fabric choice moves the cost more than anything else — the same silhouette can be made across our fabric tiers, from the most premium fabrics available in the region down to upper-mid, so it lands at the price your market needs.

    What US buyers ask for

What styles and fabrics do US abaya brands order?

These are the requests that come up again and again from US brands. We cut to your specification, so any of them can be built into your designs:

    1. ◆Velvet, lace and heavier crêpes for winter collections and occasion pieces
    2. ◆Chiffon, nida and linen for everyday wear and Southern summers
    3. ◆Embroidery, beading, stones and lace trims for luxury lines
    4. ◆Opaque, washable fabrics for everyday abayas that are worn hard
    5. ◆Practical details — pockets, nursing-friendly openings, petite and tall lengths
    6. ◆Matching sets: an abaya with its own hijab, inner dress or prayer set
    Ramadan & Eid 2027

When should a US brand order for Ramadan and Eid 2027?

Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin in early February 2027, and US brands sell most of their year in the weeks before it and before Eid. Working backwards: delivery to the US takes 10–15 days, production takes 1–3 weeks after you approve your sample, and you will want stock in hand for photography and pre-orders before the season starts.

In practice that means confirming designs with us by early December 2026 to have stock by mid-January 2027. Brands that want to test a design first, then reorder the winners before Ramadan, should start in November.

    Importing

How does importing abayas into the US work now?

The buyer is the importer of record. Since the US suspended its $800 de minimis exemption in 2025, commercial shipments no longer enter duty-free because of their value — budget for duty on every wholesale order, however small. The rate depends on the product's classification, so we do not publish one here; US Customs and Border Protection is the authority, and we will quote you a landed cost for your order.

We ship door to door by express courier, and the courier handles the customs entry for you and bills any duty. For most small brands that is far simpler than arranging freight and a broker themselves.

    How it works

How does ordering from the UAE work for a US brand?

Everything is done remotely, and most of it over WhatsApp. Our video calls run in US mornings and early afternoons, Eastern Time.

    1. 1.Send your designs — a sketch, a photo or a screenshot is enough — or choose pieces from the NAH collection
    2. 2.A one-to-one video call on Google Meet to go through fabric, cut, colours, sizes and your label
    3. 3.Approve every fabric on WhatsApp before we buy it
    4. 4.We make your sample, and you approve the fit and finish
    5. 5.Production in 1–3 weeks, finished with your woven or leather labels, hangtags and boxes
    6. 6.Delivery to your door anywhere in the US in 10–15 days
    Why the UAE

Why work with a UAE abaya manufacturer?

The abaya is a Gulf garment, and the UAE is where its craft is concentrated: pattern cutters who understand how the back drape falls, hand-finishers for lace, stones and embroidery, and markets stocked with the fabrics abayas are actually made from, such as Korean nida and Saudi crêpe. General garment factories are rarely set up for abaya-specific cutting and finishing.

And because we make every order in our own atelier, we can work at small-brand quantities — 8 pieces per design — rather than the large runs a typical factory needs before it will cut.

    By state

    Abaya manufacturing for your state

Sales tax on clothing, resale certificates and the right fabrics all change from state to state. Our state guides cover the largest abaya markets; we deliver to every other state on the same terms.

A photo or a video is enough — you do not need a pattern or a technical pack. Minimum order is 8 pieces per design.

    Questions, answered

    Abaya manufacturing for US brands

Is there an abaya manufacturer that ships to the USA?
Yes. NAH is an abaya manufacturer in the United Arab Emirates making private label and wholesale abayas for US brands, delivered to any US state in 10–15 days.
What is the minimum order for a US brand?
8 pieces per design. Several designs can share one production run, which suits US brands testing a range before committing to larger quantities.
How much does it cost to manufacture abayas for a US brand?
It depends on fabric and detailing, so we quote each design individually. A useful rule is to plan production at around half of your retail price; most US brands that enquire with us plan to retail between $75 and $150.
Can you produce under my own brand label?
Yes — woven labels, leather labels, hangtags and packaging boxes, all with your brand on them.
Can I see a sample before production?
Yes. Every order starts with a sample you approve for fit and finish before production begins.
Do I pay import duty on abayas shipped to the US?
Yes. Since the US suspended its $800 de minimis exemption, commercial shipments are dutiable regardless of value. Rates depend on classification, so we do not quote them — we will quote you a landed cost, and the courier handles the customs entry.
When should I order for Ramadan and Eid 2027?
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin in early February 2027. Confirm your designs by early December 2026 to have stock in the US by mid-January.
Can we have a call in US hours?
Yes. Our video calls on Google Meet run in US mornings and early afternoons, Eastern Time. Message us on WhatsApp to book one.
