    NAH (Noor Al Haya Abaya) is a Dubai house. The atelier is in Dubai. The cutters, embroiderers, and finishers are in Dubai. The fabrics — Saudi crêpe, Italian silk, hand-loomed cotton — are sourced through long-standing relationships and inspected in Dubai before they reach the cutting table.

    Designer abayas, in our reading of the term, are not abayas with a label. They are abayas that have been designed — drawn, patterned, draped, and refined over months. Each NAH silhouette begins as a single sketch and a single length of cloth.

    The Dubai woman is one of the most well-dressed in the world. She moves between Dubai, Riyadh, London, and Paris in a single month. Her wardrobe must travel with her — light enough to pack, considered enough to wear to a private dinner without alteration.

    We design with her in mind. Lighter fabrics for travel. Cleaner finishes for the evening. A quieter palette, because quiet has become the loudest thing in a city that does not always whisper.
